This policy explains what information ScribeTo handles when you use its website, account, transcription, translation, summary, export, billing, and support features. It also explains the choices available to you.
1. Information we process
We process account details such as your email address, name, profile image, authentication records, and account preferences. When you use the service, we also process audio, video, public media links, live recordings, transcripts, speaker labels, translations, summaries, exports, task status, and usage records that are needed to complete your request.
2. Why we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, deliver requested processing, preserve and display results, calculate minute usage, provide purchases and subscriptions, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, answer support requests, and maintain service security. We do not use submitted media to advertise to you.
3. Service providers and transfers
Account sign-in is handled by ScribeTo using better-auth on our infrastructure. Stripe processes web payments, and ScribeTo stores customer, order, and subscription identifiers rather than full card numbers. Media and generated results may be stored in Cloudflare R2. Configured speech or language-model providers may process the content required to complete a transcription, translation, or summary. These providers may operate in countries different from yours.
4. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while the account is active and retain submitted media and results as needed to provide account history and downloads. You can delete supported tasks in the product or ask us to delete account data. Some payment, security, fraud-prevention, and audit records may be kept when reasonably necessary for financial or legal obligations.
5. Cookies and account sessions
ScribeTo uses cookies and similar browser storage for account sessions, security, language or interface preferences, and configured analytics. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in and account features from working. Third-party analytics or sign-in features are loaded only when configured for the service.
6. Security
We use encrypted transport, server-side credentials, access controls, and authorization checks designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a secure account and avoid submitting material that is unnecessary for your task.
7. Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information, or object to certain processing. We may need to verify the account before fulfilling a request. For privacy questions or data requests, email support@scribeto.ai.
8. Policy updates
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date shown on this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable channel when required.
